Lake Finjasjön is a nutrient-rich lake with plenty of fish, but it is difficult to fish from the shore. A boat is recommended. Species of fish found in the lake include pike, zander, perch, eel, roach, bream, tench, burbot and ruffe.
The river Almaån starts its journey on the northern shore of Lake Finjasjön. It joins up with the river hörlingeån and flows into the river Helgeå. Parts of the course of the river consist of a manually excavated channel. The river Almaån is very rich in fish, with perch, pike, carp, bream, burbot, chub, salmon trout and some salmon and sea trout.
